My Experience:

When I think of Las Vegas I think of casinos, noise, action and little sleep. The Platinum was my first Vegas experience in an all suites, no smoking non casino Hotel……and I throughly enjoyed it!! Platinum’s Top Ten ranking in Trip Advisor is well deserved.

Less than a block away from the Monorail and gaming, I found I didn’t need a casino on the lobby floor, nor the smoke filled environment. I spent a relaxing evening on my balcony, yes large balcony with table and chairs, relaxed in my jacuzzi bathtub large enough for two;-) enjoyed room service then went out on the town and was wowed by CHER, great show!

My 17th floor room at The Platinum, is more than I could have imagined with a fireplace, full kitchen, and king size bed…I kept thinking what a perfect place to have a wedding, party or business meetings because of the more intimate building where no one gets lost in the shuffle, and the staff actually knows who you are and is eager to make your stay a good one.

Because I wasn’t so focused on gambling, which I did do some, I hopped in the car and took about an hours drive outside of Vegas to the Valley of Fire State Park. Nevada’s oldest State Park and spectacular, take a look at the photos in the Travel Gallery. Of course there where more International tourists visiting the Park than Americans, I found that sad, the Park is so beautiful please go.

Did I miss the casino environment, no……with indoor and outdoor pools, gym, wireless in my room, free on-site parking..guess what? I came home with money and had the best time. Be adventurous and truly enjoy Las Vegas and the Valley of Fire State Park by starting your experience, like I did, at The Platinum (all suites) Hotel.
