The Boulders Resort & Spa
My Experience:
It has been several years since I had been to The Boulders Resort, leaving with nothing but fabulous memories. However, when I was informed that the property recently finished a multi-million dollar refresh, I was intrigued and wondering, how can The Boulders be any better?
Located within its own town of Carefree, Arizona, I find the name brilliant. Why, because a trip to The Boulders really is a carefree experience, along with a memorable one. Nestled among 12 million year old boulders, guests quickly have a sense of freedom and peace. What I found fascinating about The Boulders is around every corner there is adventure waiting via hiking, biking, rock climbing, golf, and tennis making for a lot of activities.
However, for the guests that are looking to relax, that is easily accomplished on the patio or balcony that comes with each casitas. No boring standard resort rooms at The Boulders, guests are treated to their own 550 (or larger) square foot casitas and all with stunning views.
Casitas come standard with a fireplace, flat screen television, work station, bar area, living room, balcony or patio, huge double sink bathroom, shower and bath tub, huge walk-in closet, in-room safe, and delightfully comfortable beds.
There are a variety of restaurants on property and Executive Chef Brian Archibald keeps each one unique to its own flavors and ambiance.
The Spa is a full service spa that includes a fitness center, yoga center, pool, and stunning boulder outcroppings at arm’s length. If you looking for a party venue try the Spa garden area, it is truly lovely.
Golfers will enjoy the challenge of the two championship golf courses that wind through the property, and tennis fans will hone their game on championship courts.
Though children are certainly welcome, I found The Boulders to be a wonderful retreat for adults. A popular place for weddings, corporate meetings, private parties and special events, take my advice and find out what serenity is all about at The Boulders Resort & Spa.
