My Experience:

I recently took my third ride on the Grand Canyon Railway out of Williams, Arizona.  There are so many things I enjoy about this experience, all beginning with the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel.  The beautiful grand lobby greets guest when they walk through the door of this 298 room hotel.  The feel of the old west meets, travelers needs of today, are evident in the comfortable – newly refurbished rooms.  The beds are comfy, and the rooms are spacious and quiet.  The hotel offers several dining options, indoor pool & spa, fitness room, is pet friendly and only steps away from the train depot.  The staff certainly knows the train drill and will get guests and their luggage seamlessly to the train.

Before boarding the train, guests get a feel for the old west with a Wild West Show, on property.  The train ride itself is 2 hours and 45 minutes of fun. Offering a variety of rail cars to choose from, there is something for children and adults, with a few surprises along the way.

Capping off the entire experience is Williams, AZ.  Founded in the late 1800’s, the one main street still has wood-plank sidewalks, brothels transformed into lodging, restaurants, shops, bars and fabulous old neon signs.  A trip back in time with Route 66 going right through the middle town.

I guarantee, I’ll not hesitate to make my fourth trip on the Grand Canyon Railway and stay at the hotel……….another fun adventure everyone should experience!
