My Experience:

So you love Nevada and have an inkling to gamble, play great golf courses, enjoy fine dining and get a spa treatment! Keep right on going past Las Vegas for about 80 miles and experience Mesquite, Nevada.

Easy to find off of the I-15, Mesquite is all everyone bragged about to me and more. With a population between 15 & 20 thousand people, this pioneer old west community has come of age with the help of beautiful scenery, incredible golf courses, and more.

With nine golf courses to their name, all are unique, camera worthy, challenging and in great condition.. plus the green fees are beyond reasonable.

This time I stayed at the Eureka Casino Resort. So far the best of the best. After a major renovation the rooms rival and downtown upscale hotel. Comfortable, flat screens, spacious, the window opens and oh so quiet!!! The Eureka also has a full service spa and the casino in the adjacent building, which I found nice.

I took a historical walking tour of old Mesquite beginning at the Virgin Valley Heritage Museum. The museum alone is fun and takes guests way back in time, don’t miss it…hopefully Margie will be there, she is knowledgeable and loves the museum.

Whether you want to play excellent golf or just hang out for a few days, I say go, have fun and par-tee!!
