My Experience:
A little more than two hours away you’ll find beaches, boardwalks, piers, amazing food and more… Welcome to Redondo Beach!
My two beaches in one adventure had me staying at the lovely Portofino Hotel and Yacht Club, alongside the breakwater with stunning ocean views. My comfortable and rather spacious room was decorated in soft ocean blues, yellows and white, the perfect beach cottage. Each of the 96 rooms has a balcony, big sliding doors, windows and a separate work area, hard to focus on work when the sounds of the ocean are drawing you outside.
I spent time walking along the boardwalk, sightseeing at the pier, and watching life at the beach. Every where you look locals and visitors are enjoying the water is so many different ways. Fishing, sailing, kayaking, swimming and enjoying the views.
Did I mention eating??!! There are so many fabulous restaurants in Redondo Beach. Captain Kidds, Polly’s on the Pier, Quality Seafood and the must for dinner BALEENlosangeles…….you know it’s fabulous when you are full but keep right on eating!! Have the Chef Souza’s scallop appetizer…your taste buds will remember it forever.
Park the car at the Portofino Hotel and walk, ride the complimentary bikes, jog or roller skate…life in Redondo Beach is grand.. A year round destination with a Lobster Festival in September..make your reservations NOW!!
