Program guests in order:
Seana Marie (owner of the Wine Rack), Cherryl Connally (owner of Island Packers), Jim Luttjohann (Executive Director of the Ventura Visitors & Convention Bureau), Doug Wood (General Manager of the Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach Hotel).

My Experience:

As a So. Cal native Ventura has been one of those places I’ve visited as a child and then frankly hadn’t given much thought to. Well that has all changed! I had a wonderful time in Ventura and will definitely return time and time again. Some beach communities have become quit snooty, not Ventura. This charming, friendly and walkable community welcomes visitors with open arms.

The boardwalk is bustling with activity, children and families enjoying the clean miles of beaches. There also seems to be something for everyone. I found Ventura to be affordable, and with a plethora of dining, shopping and activities to enjoy. Guess what? No parking meters, how refreshing.

I stayed at the only beach-front hotel, the Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach Hotel. The CP is clean and comfortable with beautiful views and a wonderful lobby and pool area. I also found the ‘C-Street’ restaurant inside the CP to be one of the best dining spots in town, and of course they have won awards. Say hello to Brian Monsour, Restaurant Supervisor, no request is too large or small for Brian.

I also recommend you (of course) use the Visitors Center on California street, visit the Mission San Buenaventura and walk along main street.

I also recommend the following:

Island Packers for your ocean and harbor adventures

Wine tasting at the Wine Rack

Dinner at the Greek at the Harbor

Accommodations at the Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach Hotel
Listen to the show and pack your bags for cool weather, great food, beaches and fun!!!
